Phil Kline’s

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

MONDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2017, 7:00PM

hosted by Mallory Politz

Join us once again for Phil Kline's Unsilent Night in South Philly!

Join us for a free outdoor participatory sound sculpture of many individual parts and played through a roving swarm, carried through city streets. The chiming, 4-part electronic carol engulfs participants, listeners, and passersby in an enchanting ebb and flow. It promises to be a unique and magical experience!

We will meet at the Singing Fountain on Passyunk Ave at 7PM and begin our 45 minute walk around East Passyunk at about 7:15. Everyone will play (either through a boombox, mp3 player, or smart phone) one of the four tracks of the original composition while we walk. If you have a portable speaker for your smart phone, please bring it. If not, putting your phone in a glass or plastic cup will help amplify the sound.

It's a great event for both children and adults!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide cassette tapes or CDs, but it's very easy to access the song tracks through the website and free UnSilent Night app.

**We also like to invite everyone to add a visual element! Please bring or wear something lighted --glowsticks, battery powered Christmas lights, etc. Use your imagination!**
